Boere Seep / Farmers soap

Boerseep is a traditional South African soap recipe, based on rendered animal fat, usually beef tallow. It has great conditioning properties and are suitable for all types of skin and general cleaning.

So, what is Boerseep? Boerseep is an Afrikaans word which roughly translates into English as farmer’s soap.Traditionally boerseep was made by collecting rainwater, adding lye and tallow and stirred by hand until creamy and the fat and lye has dissolved.

Stain remover
Boerseep can remove many types of stains, including oil, sweat, blood, grass, soil, grease, wine, fruit, curry, rust, ink, mascara, and perfume. It can be used on any color fabric and can even make white laundry whiter. For best results, you can soak clothing in a Boerseep solution for 30 minutes or overnight before washing.
Skin care
Boerseep is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and can be used as a bath soap, face soap, shaving cream, or shampoo. It can moisturize the skin and help relieve eczema, sores, and other skin irritations.
Laundry detergent
Boerseep can be used as a daily laundry detergent. To use it as a laundry detergent, you can dissolve 250 ml of grated Boerseep in 5 liters of hot water to create a gel, then dissolve 125 ml of the gel in a jug of warm water and add it to your laundry.
Other uses
